First retreats

All the versions of this article: [English] [français]

In January 2009 were held the first two teaching and practice retreats, in which a serious transmission starts to emerge. With Denys Rinpoche is created a long-term transmission project: training Indian teachers in Buddhadharma.

During the winter 2009 - 2010, five retreats are conducted in Tamil Nadu. Two hundred people with a hundred children and adolescents, from 9 to 17 years old participate. It is now easier to distinguish among them those who are most motivated by the Dharma and want a real attachment to Rimay Sangha.

In 2010 is created the Rimay India Trust, a non-profit organisation led by Indian practitioners following Rimay guidelines. This Trust will be authorized, through receipt of government approval (Foreign Contribution Regulation Act), to receive donations from abroad. Once received this permission, it will be possible to Rimay India Trust to purchase real estate, land, etc.
Fifteen Sangha Lokas embryos are organized that year. The ranslation of Luminous Mind continues.

During winter 2010-2011, Lama Mingyur 7 gives retreats in Tamil Nadu, for adults and children, sometimes very young. He also visited Auroville, near Pondicherry, and meet some of the pioneers of the early days, authors of a splendid reforestation.
